Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 head of cauliflower
- 1 tsp, leveled nutmeg, freshly grated
- n. B. Salt
- 2 m.-sized eggs
- 25 g butter, soft
- 1 clove(s) garlic
- 35 g wheat flour
- 1 tbsp, crushed paprika powder, sweet
- 1 pinch of nutmeg, freshly grated
- ½ tsp salt
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
Rinse the cauliflower thoroughly and divide it into florets. Cook them in water with salt and nutmeg until al dente, remove with a slotted spoon and let steam off. Beat the eggs and butter until frothy. Peel and finely dice the garlic clove, crush it with the tip of a knife and add it to the dish. Add the nutmeg, paprika, salt and flour and stir into a smooth batter. Roll the slightly cooled florets in the batter until the mixture is evenly distributed. Arrange the florets next to each other on a greased baking tray. Place the tray on the middle shelf of an oven preheated to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Bake for about 15-20 minutes, until the florets are lightly browned. Serve with all kinds of meat and fish, or simply with dips.
