Cauliflower Gratin
The perfect cauliflower gratin recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 smaller Cauliflower fresh
- Salt
- 0,5 bunch Chives fresh
- 1 small Red chilli pepper
- 30 g Finely grated mountain cheese
- 250 ml Whipped cream 10% fat
- Nutmeg
- Clean, wash and drain the cauliflower. Place the whole head in a saucepan with a sieve insert. Cover and steam over boiling salted water for about 8-10 minutes. Take out, quench and drain.
- Cut the chives into fine rolls. Cut the chilli pepper into rings and remove the core. Finely grate the mountain cheese.
- In a saucepan, reduce the cream by half. Season lightly with salt and nutmeg. Place the cauliflower in a baking dish, pour the cream over it, sprinkle with chilli and mountain cheese.
- Gratinate in the preheated oven at 220 degrees on the 2nd rack from the bottom for about 10-15 minutes (convection at 200 degrees). Take out of the oven and serve sprinkled with chives.
