Cauliflower in Panko Beer Batter
The perfect cauliflower in panko beer batter recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 Cauliflower fresh
- 2 Eggs
- 2 tbsp Flour
- 100 ml Milk
- 1 tbsp Worcester sauce
- 2 handful Panko flour
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Sweet paprika powder
- Pepper from the grinder
- 150 ml Beer dark
- Vegetable oil
- Clean the cauliflower and blanch it whole in boiling salted water (10 minutes). Let cool and cut into individual florets.
- Whisk eggs with milk, salt, pepper, paprika powder and Worcester sauce.
- Mix in the flour, beer and panko and let the mixture swell. Heat the oil (if you hold a wooden spoon in it and bubbles form, it is hot enough)
- Marinate the cauliflower with the batter and fry in hot oil until golden brown.
- Pour onto kitchen crepe and drain. A cold beer with it 😉
