Ingredients

  • 2 Pollack fillet
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper from the grinder
  • 300 g Flour
  • 0,5 L Dark beer
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper from the grinder
  • 2 Free range eggs
  • 2 tbsp Clarified butter

Instructions

  • Salt and pepper the fish. Mix the flour, salt, pepper, beer and eggs into a smooth batter. Pull the fish through the batter. Heat the clarified butter in a pan and pickle the fish. Hold a wooden spoon handle in the fat, if small bubbles form in the fat, the fat is hot enough (not before, because otherwise the dough will become full of fat).
  • "Potato salad the way I like it" tastes good with it from my cookbook (with eggs and tartar sauce)
