Pollack in Beer Batter

The perfect pollack in beer batter recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 piece Pollack fillet
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper from the grinder
  • 300 g Flour
  • 0,5 liter Dark beer
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 pinch Pepper from the grinder
  • 2 piece Free range eggs
  • 2 tbsp Clarified butter
  1. Salt and pepper the fish. Mix the flour, salt, pepper, beer and eggs into a smooth batter. Pull the fish through the batter. Heat the clarified butter in a pan and pickle the fish. Hold a wooden spoon handle in the fat, if small bubbles form in the fat, the fat is hot enough (not before, because otherwise the dough will become full of fat).
  2. “Potato salad the way I like it” tastes good with it from my cookbook (with eggs and tartar sauce)
