Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat, half and half
  • 2 tsp Fondor
  • 1 tsp paprika powder, hot
  • ½ tsp sweet paprika powder
  • 1 tsp pepper, white and black
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp broth
  • 125 ml water
  • 2 bags of rice or 2 cups of loose rice
  • 4 tsp curry

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

First, mix the minced meat with the spices in a bowl. Briefly sauté the mashed garlic cloves and the finely chopped onion in a preheated pan. Deglaze with stock and water and let it simmer until the water has evaporated. Pour the onion and garlic mixture over the minced meat and stir everything well again. Now form cevapcici in portions of the minced meat into the desired size and fry them in the same pan over medium heat. Cook the rice (loose or in a boil-in-the-bag, depending on your taste) according to the package instructions. When it’s ready, sprinkle with the curry powder and let it simmer gently in the pan for another 2 minutes. Serve everything together, ideally with a garlic dip.
