Cyberlady's Swabian apple cake

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g sugar
  • 300 g flour
  • 200 g butter
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • ½ vanilla pod(s)
  • ½ lemon(s), grated peel
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 100 g ladyfingers
  • 100 g butter
  • 1 ½ kg apples
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 eggs
  • 400 ml cream
  • 40 g sugar
  • 30 g cornstarch
  • ½ lemon(s), grated peel
  • 1 pack of cake glaze, clear

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Mix all of the ingredients for the dough into a dough and let it rest in a cool place for about 1 hour. Peel and halve the apples, remove the cores and cut the tops of the apple halves lengthwise several times. Place the dough in a springform pan or on a baking tray (30×30 cm), place the ladyfingers close together and arrange the apple halves on top. Melt the butter in a small saucepan and brush it over the apples. Mix the eggs, egg yolks, cream, sugar, cornstarch and grated lemon zest well in a bowl and then pour over the apples. Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180°C (top and bottom heat) for about 50 minutes. Make the glaze according to the instructions and glaze the cooled cake with it.
