Chai Latte Cookies

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 sachet of drink powder (Chai Latte, e.g. from Krüger)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon, more if needed
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 m.-sized egg(s)
  • 125 g butter or margarine
  • 180 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 250 g flour

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

In a cup, mix the chai powder with the cinnamon and milk until all lumps have dissolved. In a bowl, mix the egg, butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar on high speed until creamy. Mix the baking powder, salt, and flour and add to the egg mixture. Add the chai and cinnamon milk and mix everything again on high speed. Form the dough into small (about walnut-sized) balls and place them on the baking sheet, leaving some space between them (as the balls will spread out). Flatten the balls with a fork. Bake in a hot oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 10 minutes. Allow to cool thoroughly and enjoy. Notes: The dough will be a bit sticky, so don’t be surprised when forming the balls. You will need about 2 trays with about 30 cookies, and it is recommended to bake them one after the other. After baking, the cookies should still be a bit soft; they will then harden as they cool.
