Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp flour
- 200 ml cream
- 1 pinch(s) black pepper, from the mill
- 1 pinch of sea salt, freshly ground
- 1 pinch(s) nutmeg, possibly freshly grated
- 100 g cheese, grated, Gouda, Edam, Tilsiter or other hard cheese
Instructions
Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Heat the butter in a saucepan until foaming but not browning. Add the flour and stir quickly until blended. Deglaze with the cream and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Add the cheese and continue to simmer, stirring, until melted. Keep warm for later use, stirring frequently.
