Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 250 g flour
- 125 g hard cheese, finely grated
- 125 g butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp, heaped salt
- 1 tsp, leveled baking powder
- 1 tbsp, heaped herbs, dried
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes
Small cheese batonnets
Knead all ingredients together and refrigerate the dough for 1 hour. Transfer the dough to a meat grinder, pipe into sticks, and bake on a greased baking sheet at 175-185°C for 13-16 minutes. This recipe serves 3 baking sheets. The cheese sticks are delicious as an amuse-bouche, as a side dish for starters, or as a snack with wine or beer.
