Cheese – Croissant

The perfect cheese – croissant recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 250 g Flour
  • 3 tsp Baking powder
  • 125 g Quark
  • 50 ml Milk
  • 50 ml Rapeseed oil
  • 1 St. Protein
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 St. Egg yolk
  • Some milk, Some caraway seeds, whole
  • Filling as desired
  1. Make a dough from flour, baking powder, quark, milk, rapeseed oil, egg white and salt. Let rest a little.
  2. Prepare the filling as you like. I still had a small piece of feta cheese left, mashed it with a fork and made it smoother with a little quark and seasoned with salt and pepper. So the filling doesn’t have a specific recipe. You can choose them yourself.
  3. Roll out the dough and cut triangles, put some mixture on the broad side and roll up. Then mix the egg yolk with a little milk and brush the croissants. Sprinkle with a little caraway seeds.
  4. Bake at approx. 170 ° C for approx. 20 minutes.
  5. They still taste best warm.
