Cheese dumplings

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 300 g quark
  • 300 g cheese, grated
  • 200 g flour
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Mix all ingredients into a dough and season with salt and nutmeg. Then form small dumplings with your hands and boil them in a large pot of salted water until they float to the top. Depending on the size of the dumplings, this will only take a few minutes. This is one of our favorite dishes, and the kids especially love it. We serve the cheese dumplings with a simple tomato sauce.
