dumplings

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 40 g butter
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 250 ml milk
  • Parsley

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Combine flour, eggs, milk, room-temperature butter, baking powder, and salt and beat until the dough bubbles. It will be very sticky, so I recommend using a dough hook. Using a tablespoon, scoop out portions of the dough and place them in boiling, salted water. Dip the tablespoon into the boiling water before scooping out the first portion. This prevents the dough from sticking too much to the spoon. The dumplings will be ready in 10 minutes. I like them best with cold applesauce.
