Cheese dumplings with meatballs

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g potato dumplings
  • 500 g bratwurst, coarse
  • 500 g broccoli
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 600 ml milk
  • 400 g cheese, grated
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Peel the onion and garlic and dice finely. Fry the potato dumplings in a high pan with olive oil. Add the diced onion and garlic and sauté briefly. Cut the bratwurst into slices about 1 cm wide and fry in another pan until crispy on all sides. Add the milk to the potato dumplings and bring to a boil briefly. Add the cheese and stir in. Divide the broccoli into small florets and blanch in a pot of boiling salted water for 3 minutes. Season the pasta with salt, pepper, and nutmeg and add the broccoli. Sprinkle the bratwurst pieces over the pasta before serving.
