Cheese Pancakes

The perfect cheese pancakes recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • Dough:
  • 3 cups Flour
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tbsp Natural yoghurt
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 glass Lukewarm water
  • Filling:
  • 250 gr Feta cheese
  • 0,5 bunch Flat leaf parsley
  • Some oil to brush.
  1. You also need a coated pan and a brush to rub the pan with oil.
  1. Process all ingredients for the dough so that the dough is not too dry. If it sticks too much, just knead in a little more flour, if it is too dry, add a little more water.
  1. When you have kneaded the dough well, as already said, it may still stick slightly, but should then come off your hands. Set the dough aside for about 20 minutes.
  1. Let’s get to the filling: Crumble the cheese, finely chop the flat-leaf parsley and mix everything together.
  1. Now back to the dough: Divide the dough into pieces of equal size. With the amount I got about 8 pieces. Roll out each part very thinly. Approximately the size of a cake plate or slightly larger.
  1. Heat the coated pan and use a brush to spread some oil in it. Now fill half of each flatbread with approx. 1 1/2 tbsp cheese and fold it up. Place in the pan and turn from time to time until it is cooked through on both sides and has taken on color. Proceed in the same way with the rest, in between you can brush the flatbreads with a little oil in the pan, so they don’t stay dry.
  1. Serve hot! Ayran (yoghurt drink) and a nice farmer’s salad go best with this!
