Casserole: Herb Potato Pancakes Baked with Cheese
The perfect casserole: herb potato pancakes baked with cheese recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 4 piece Potatoes
- 1 piece Fresh onion
- 1 tablespoon Clarified butter
- 0,5 teaspoon Black pepper from the mill
- 0,5 teaspoon Salt
- 1 handful Fresh Käruter – here: ground elder, Maggi cabbage, chervil, parsley, chives
- 100 ml Cream 10% fat
- 30 g Swiss Emmental
- Peel the potatoes and grate them medium-fine. Peel the onion and cut into small cubes.
- Heat the oil in a pan and brown the onion cubes lightly. Add the grated potatoes, distribute them evenly in the pan and let them set gently. Turn around.
- After the potatoes are browned on all sides, season with salt and pepper.
- Sort the herbs and chop finely. Grate the cheese.
- Now add the cream to the potatoes and let them boil down. Stir in the herbs.
- Pour this mixture into a baking dish – no longer grease necessary – and sprinkle with the grated cheese.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 190 degrees lower / upper heat until the cheese has melted and begins to color.
- Serve on preheated plates with the desired side dish. I served it with spinach.
