Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g butter (half-fat butter)
  • 260 g flour
  • 80 g cheese, grated Emmental
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • ½ tsp paprika powder
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds, for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Suitable for WW, 1p. per piece, makes 40 pieces

Cut the butter into small pieces and mix with 240g of flour. Add the cheese, salt, and paprika powder and knead everything into a smooth dough (best with cold hands). Wrap in cling film and chill for about 30 minutes. Roll out the dough with the remaining flour and cut out shapes with baking cutters. Place the cheese pastry on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Brush with egg yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds (caraway seeds can also be used). Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C on the middle rack for about 15 minutes. Let cool and store in tins.
