Thyme crackers

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 g spelt flour
  • 100 g sour cream
  • 1 tsp thyme, dried
  • 0.33 tsp sea salt
  • some paprika powder, sweet
  • some pepper
  • ½ tsp balsamic vinegar

Preheat the oven to 160°C. Mix the flour with the remaining dry ingredients. Add the sour cream and vinegar and knead everything into a smooth dough. Form a ball and place it on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Flatten it, place plastic wrap on top, and roll it out very thinly. Cut into squares or rectangles of the desired size with a knife. Prick each cracker several times with a fork. Then bake in the oven for about 10-20 minutes until light golden. While still warm, separate the individual crackers and let them cool completely. The specified quantities are sufficient for one baking sheet. The baking time depends on the oven. Be careful that the crackers do not overbrown. They are a wonderful snack, for dipping, or as a bread substitute.
