Cherry cream slices

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg cherry(s), fresh or
  • 3 jars of sour cherries, 720 ml each
  • 250 g butter
  • 350 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 7 m.-sized eggs
  • 500 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • 500 g sour cream
  • 75 g almond(s) (flakes)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Pit the cherries (drain the fruit from the jar thoroughly). Cream together the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt until creamy. Beat in four eggs, one at a time. Mix the flour and baking powder. Stir in alternately with the milk. Spread the batter into a greased deep baking sheet. Arrange the cherries on top. Beat together three eggs, 100g sugar, and the sour cream well and pour over the cherries. Sprinkle with almonds and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for approximately 35-40 minutes.
