Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g flour
  • 75 g cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 175 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 200 g butter
  • 2 jars of morello cherries
  • 300 g flour
  • 200 g butter
  • 150 g sugar
  • 2 vanilla sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Beat the sugar, egg, and butter until fluffy. Sift the flour with the cornstarch and baking powder and add to the sugar and egg mixture. Pour the batter onto a 30 x 40 cm baking sheet and top with the drained cherries. For the crumble, mix the flour, butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar and spread the crumble over the cherries. Bake the cake on the middle rack at 180 degrees Celsius for about 40 minutes. It also tastes great with apples.
