Cherry Plotters
The perfect cherry plotters recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1000 g Sour cherries
- 6 Eggs
- 100 g Soft butter
- 150 g Sugar
- 100 g Almonds, peeled, ground
- 1 tsp Cinammon
- 20 ml Kirsch
- Salt
- 200 g Breadcrumbs
- Butter for the mold
- Wash, dry and stone cherries.
- Separate eggs. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until very stiff. Provide.
- Grease the shape (26 cm diameter). Preheat the oven to 180 ° (convection 160 °).
- Beat egg yolks with sugar until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is whitish and frothy. Then add the softened butter, almonds, cinnamon and kirsch and fold in thoroughly.
- Then mix the cherries with the breadcrumbs into the egg and sugar mixture and finally fold in the egg whites.
- Fill everything into the pan and bake for approx. 45 – 55 minutes until the surface is golden brown. Take out immediately and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
- This cake tastes best when it is slightly warm ……… but when cooled it can of course also be plastered well ………. depending on your mood …… and patience. Good Appetite.
