Cherry quark dessert

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 25 g butter
  • 50 g sugar
  • 50 g oat flakes
  • 125 g whipped cream
  • 250 g quark
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 jar sour cherries (drained weight 370 g)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Heat the butter and sugar in a pan. Add the oats and toast until golden brown. Transfer to a plate to cool. Whip the cream with a mixer until stiff peaks form. Then add the quark, sugar, and lemon juice and mix with the cream. Drain the cherries and transfer to a glass bowl. Pour half of the oats over the cherries, then pour the quark and cream mixture over the mixture, and finally scatter the remaining oats on top. Alternatively, instead of using a glass bowl, you can also prepare four individual portions in champagne flutes or similar containers.
