Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 2 onions
  • 125 g butter
  • 500 g chestnuts, cooked, peeled
  • 1 liter vegetable stock
  • 350 ml cream
  • 200 ml milk
  • salt and pepper
  • Cinnamon powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Sauté the onions in butter until translucent. Then add the chestnuts and top up with the stock. Simmer everything together over low heat for about 30 minutes. Then puree the soup and strain it through a sieve. Then add the cream and milk, and season with pepper, salt, and a pinch of cinnamon.
