Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g flour
  • 120 g butter, melted
  • 170 g sugar, brown or raw cane sugar
  • 100 g sugar
  • 120 g chocolate, roughly chopped
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp baking powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 12 minutes; Total time approx. 27 minutes

American chocolate cookies, for one baking tray

In a large bowl, combine the sugar and butter until smooth. Beat again with the vanilla extract and egg. Sift in the flour and baking powder and mix. Add the chocolate chips and chill for at least 30 minutes. The cookies will be even better if you chill the dough overnight. Using an ice cream scoop, form equal-sized balls and place them well apart on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat) and bake the cookies on the middle rack for 12-15 minutes.
