Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g chicken breast fillet(s)
- 150 g processed cheese
- 10 slices of breakfast bacon
- 200 g spinach
- 400 ml cream
- Salt
- pepper
- nutmeg
- 50 g cheese, grated
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour
Halve or third the chicken breast fillet, depending on size. Wrap each piece tightly with a slice of bacon. Briefly fry in small batches in a pan without any additional fat and set aside. Trim the spinach and wilt it in the same pan. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg and deglaze with the cream. Dissolve the cream cheese in it. Pour the spinach sauce into a baking dish and place the chicken rolls on top. Sprinkle with grated cheese and bake in the oven at 200°C for about 30 minutes. Mashed potatoes go well with this.
