Chicken Cordon Bleu

The perfect chicken cordon bleu recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 Chicken breast fillets
  • 2 disc Cooked ham
  • 2 disc Gouda cheese
  • 1 Egg
  • Breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • Chicken seasoning salt
  1. Cut a pocket into the chicken breast fillet. (place on a cutting board and cut a pocket lengthways)
  1. Fill with the ham and Gouda cheese.
  1. Close the bag with roulade skewers.
  1. Open the egg in a plate and whisk. Put breadcrumbs in a plate as well.
  1. Roll the cordon bleu first in egg, then in breadcrumbs and bread. Season with the chicken seasoning.
  1. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the cordon bleu in it.
  1. Place on a wire rack and finish cooking in the oven at 180 degrees for about 30-45 minutes, depending on the thickness. A little tip: place a baking sheet under the wire rack, otherwise the meat juices will drip onto the bottom of the oven.
