Chicken Cordon Bleu
The perfect chicken cordon bleu recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 2 Chicken breast fillets
- 2 disc Cooked ham
- 2 disc Gouda cheese
- 1 Egg
- Breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp Oil
- Chicken seasoning salt
- Cut a pocket into the chicken breast fillet. (place on a cutting board and cut a pocket lengthways)
- Fill with the ham and Gouda cheese.
- Close the bag with roulade skewers.
- Open the egg in a plate and whisk. Put breadcrumbs in a plate as well.
- Roll the cordon bleu first in egg, then in breadcrumbs and bread. Season with the chicken seasoning.
- Heat the oil in a pan and fry the cordon bleu in it.
- Place on a wire rack and finish cooking in the oven at 180 degrees for about 30-45 minutes, depending on the thickness. A little tip: place a baking sheet under the wire rack, otherwise the meat juices will drip onto the bottom of the oven.
