Chicken Gyros Skewer with Tzatziki and Roasted Zucchini Vegetables
The perfect chicken gyros skewer with tzatziki and roasted zucchini vegetables recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
For the gyros
- 800 g Chicken breast fillet
- 2 piece Fresh onion
- Gyros spice
- 100 ml Rapeseed oil
- 2 piece Clove of garlic
- 7 piece Juniper berry
- 2 piece Bay leaf
For the tzatziki
- 250 g Yogurt 10% fat
- 50 g Potting
- 0,5 piece Cucumber
- 2 piece Clove of garlic
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Pepper
- Salt
For the zucchini vegetables
- 2 piece Zucchini fresh
Preparing gyros skewers
- I use my gyros spice blend, gyros spice
- Wash and parry the chicken, cut into thin pieces.
- Mix the oil, bay leaves, juniper berries, freshly squeezed garlic and the gyros spice well. Let the meat steep in it for about 1 hour.
- Skewer meat and onion alternately.
Preparation of skewers and vegetables
- Line an ovenproof dish with the sliced zucchini. Possibly Place fresh rosemary sprigs on top.
- Drizzle with the remains of the spice oil.
- Place the meat skewers on top and fry / grill the whole thing in a preheated oven at approx. 220 degrees hot air for 15-20 minutes.
The tzatziki
- Slice the cucumber thinly and then squeeze out the water with your hands.
- Press the garlic and stir into the yogurt and pot together with the cucumber.
- Salt and pepper, season with a little olive oil
