Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 3 large onions, cut into strips
- 3 tbsp oil, for frying
- 600 g poultry liver(s), also turkey or chicken
- 1 tbsp flour
- 3 m.-large gherkins, cut into strips
- 200 g tomatoes, cut into eighths
- 250 ml white wine
- salt and pepper
- Paprika powder, sweet
- ½ bunch parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp thyme, fresh
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Briefly fry the onions in hot oil. Wash the liver, pat dry, dust with flour, and fry. Add the cucumbers and tomatoes, pour in the wine, and season generously with salt, pepper, and thyme. Simmer for 10 minutes. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve. Mashed potatoes are best served with this dish.
