Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 mandarins (clementines)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 slices of ginger
  • Salt
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 2 pinches of sambal oelek
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 2 chicken legs, cooked
  • 1 bell pepper(s), red
  • 2 onions
  • 2 carrots
  • 120 g pasta
  • 6 tbsp chicken broth
  • Fresh herbs (chives, coriander)
  • Sesame seeds, for sprinkling

Juice the clementine, peel the garlic, and ginger. Chop both and combine in a cup with the juice, salt, honey, and sambal oelek. Brush a hot pan with oil. Split the chicken leg at the joint and fry over low heat. Turn the leg pieces frequently and brush with the clementine sauce. Meanwhile, trim the vegetables and slice or grate them into thin strips. Add them to the pan with the meat. Season with salt and stir frequently. After 8–10 minutes, stir in the cooked noodles, add the remaining clementine sauce and broth, and heat through; do not boil. Sprinkle with chopped herbs and sesame seeds.
