Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 chicken
  • Salt
  • oil
  • Paprika powder, hot
  • n. B. vegetables, e.g. tomatoes, peppers, spring onions, mushrooms

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

in a Roman pot

Rinse the earthenware pot with water. Wash the chicken and pat it dry. Brush it with oil, then generously salt inside and out and sprinkle with paprika. If there are giblets, add them to the pot. Place the chicken in the covered earthenware pot in a cold oven (do not preheat, as this could damage the earthenware pot). Cook for 1 hour at 250°C, then reduce the temperature to 180°C and cook for another 20 minutes. Finally, roast uncovered at 180°C for another 10-15 minutes to crisp the skin. If desired, you can add vegetables of your choice to the earthenware pot from the start.
