Chicken nuggets

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 600 g chicken breast fillet(s)
  • e.g. milk
  • 2 tsp paprika powder
  • 2 tsp curry powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 50 g butter or some oil
  • 100 g cornflakes, unsweetened

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Preheat the oven to 200°C (fan oven). Rinse the chicken breast fillets, pat dry, and cut into nugget-sized pieces. Pour the milk over them in a bowl and let them stand for about 20 minutes. The nuggets should be covered in the milk. In the meantime, mix the paprika powder, curry powder, and salt in a bowl. In another bowl, crumble the cornflakes into small pieces. Drain the milk and, without patting them dry, mix the nuggets with the spices, kneading well. Then toss them in the cornflakes and layer them in a shallow baking dish like roof tiles. Spread knobs of butter or oil over the nuggets and bake in the oven for about 25 minutes. We serve them with homemade wedges, but fries or something similar would also work.
