Chicken on Lentils

The perfect chicken on lentils recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 115 g Bacon
  • 1 Pc. Onion
  • 470 ml Water
  • 3 Pc. Carrots
  • 1 Pc. Bay leaf
  • 0,5 tsp Marjoram
  • 0,5 tsp Thyme
  • 200 g Green or brown lentils
  • 4 Pc. Chicken parts
  • Salt and pepper
  1. Heat the baking pipe to 190 degrees
  2. Dice the bacon, onion and carrots
  3. Fry the bacon, add the onion and fry for about 2 minutes
  4. Pour water over, add marjoram, thyme, lentils, carrots, salt, pepper and bay leaf
  5. Season the chicken with salt and pepper, fry well in a pan and place on the lentils
  6. Place in the oven and fry for about 1 hour at 190 degrees
  7. If you want, you can put a dollop of garlic butter on the chicken before serving!
