Chicken on Lentils
The perfect chicken on lentils recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 115 g Bacon
- 1 Pc. Onion
- 470 ml Water
- 3 Pc. Carrots
- 1 Pc. Bay leaf
- 0,5 tsp Marjoram
- 0,5 tsp Thyme
- 200 g Green or brown lentils
- 4 Pc. Chicken parts
- Salt and pepper
- Heat the baking pipe to 190 degrees
- Dice the bacon, onion and carrots
- Fry the bacon, add the onion and fry for about 2 minutes
- Pour water over, add marjoram, thyme, lentils, carrots, salt, pepper and bay leaf
- Season the chicken with salt and pepper, fry well in a pan and place on the lentils
- Place in the oven and fry for about 1 hour at 190 degrees
- If you want, you can put a dollop of garlic butter on the chicken before serving!
