Chicken strips with Brussels sprouts

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g chicken breast fillet(s) (inner fillet)
  • 100 g ham, low-fat
  • 500 g Brussels sprouts
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 200 ml cream
  • ¼ liter of milk
  • 100 g cheese, grated
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • possibly chicken broth

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Dice the chicken fillet and sear. Dice the onion and add it. When the onions are translucent, add the ham and reduce the heat. Trim the Brussels sprouts and cook them in salted water until al dente. Drain and sear them in a second pan with a little butter. Add the Brussels sprouts to the chicken fillet and heat everything together again over low heat. Add the cream and milk and simmer gently. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Finally, fold in the grated cheese.
