  • 12 chicken wings
  • some salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 100 g ketchup
  • 3 tbsp orange juice
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • some Tabasco
  • 1 tbsp mustard, hot

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 27 minutes; Total time approx. 47 minutes

Preheat the oven to 230°C (top and bottom heat). Split the chicken wings at the joint. Pour the oil into a bowl. Season the wings with salt and pepper, then toss them in the oil. Place them on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil and cook on the second rack from the bottom of the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Then turn the wings over and cook for another 7 minutes. In the meantime, mix the ketchup, orange juice, honey, vinegar, a few dashes of Tabasco, and the mustard into a sauce. Toss the hot wings in the oil, place them back on the baking sheet, cook for another 10 minutes, and serve. French fries go best with this sauce.
