Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 chicken breast fillets
  • 1 stalk(s) leek
  • 1 bottle of beer, 0.33l, (light or lager)
  • little flour

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Chicken in beer sauce

Wash the chicken breast fillets, dry them, and cut them into even smaller pieces (approx. 2 x 2 cm). Not like schnitzel, but fillets. Put a little flour in a plate or bowl, toss the chicken in it, and shake off any excess flour. Then sear the fillets in a deep pan with olive oil. Meanwhile, slice the leek into rings and sear them in a separate pan with a little olive oil. Once the chicken and leek are ready, add everything to the deep pan. If you like, you can add a little beer or water to the pan the leek was in and stir everything into the deep pan. Continue frying everything briefly and add the remaining beer. Let everything simmer for about 10 minutes. If the sauce isn’t thick enough, add a little more water mixed with flour and simmer for another 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Serve immediately. Serve with fresh baguette and a mixed salad. If you don’t have a deep pan, pour everything into a saucepan. Then add a little beer to the chicken pan, stir, and add it to the pan.
