Chicory Steamed with Shrimp
The perfect chicory steamed with shrimp recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Ingredients for the Asian sauce
- 100 g Shrimps, crabs, prawns from the refrigerated shelf
- 50 ml Fish stock from the glass
- 4 tbsp Sweat chili sauce
- 4 tbsp Soy sauce, light
- 1 tsp Red chilli flakes
- 1 tsp Ground ginger
- 1 tsp Ground turmeric spice
- Salt, pepper from the mill

- Mix all ingredients well in a bowl as described above.
Prepare chicory
- Separate the outer leaves (if necessary), clean and wash the chicory, pat dry and cut it in half lengthways. Cut the stalk out in a wedge shape, it could taste a bit bitter. My variety tasted milder.
preparation
- Heat the sauce in a (coated) pan, insert the chicory and steam both sides for about 3-5 minutes. (Depending on size). Add the crabs and heat. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Place the chicory halves on a plate and pour the Asian shrimp sauce over them.
