Steamed Plaice Fillet with Shrimp

The perfect steamed plaice fillet with shrimp recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 Plaice fillet naturally frozen
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • Salt pepper
  • 0,5 Lemon
  • 200 g Small frozen crabs
  • 1 toe Garlic
  • Chilli (cayenne pepper)
  • 150 g Steamed green beans
  • 150 g Red lenses
  • 0,5 bunch Spring onion
  • 3 tbsp Fresh herbs
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tbsp Chopped parsley
  1. Thaw the plaice fillet, clean it, season with salt and pepper and stew in butter for about 8 minutes. Remove from the oven, keep warm and drizzle with a little lemon juice.
  2. Thaw shrimp too, season with salt and chilli, add half a clove of garlic. Fry briefly in butter (approx. 2 minutes) and then stir in chopped parsley or other fresh herbs. Remove the garlic clove again.
  3. Sauté the green beans in butter, season with salt, pepper, a little savory and, if you like, add a clove of garlic (finely chopped).
  4. Cook the red lentils in salted water for about 10 minutes. Pour off the water, cut the butter, spring onions and herbs into small pieces and add. Let simmer together. The lentils shouldn’t be too soupy.
  5. Season to taste with a little lemon, salt, pepper mill and chilli spices. Arrange the fish on the red, herb lentils.
  6. Bon appetit!
