Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 6 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp, leveled chili flakes
  • 1 tsp, leveled sea salt
  • 1 tsp, levelled black pepper, freshly ground
  • 2 tsp, heaped paprika powder, sweet
  • 2 spring onions
  • 4 slices of bread (rustic spiced bread)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 8 minutes; Total time approx. 18 minutes

Bake the bread in a preheated oven at 190 degrees Celsius for 6-8 minutes until crispy. In the meantime, combine the low-fat quark, olive oil, chili flakes, salt, pepper, and paprika powder in a small bowl and mix well with a fork or small whisk. Finely slice the spring onions. Remove the spiced bread from the oven, spread generously with quark, and sprinkle with spring onions. Sprinkle the bread with salt again. Tip: Brush the bread with salt just before serving to prevent it from becoming soggy. This quark also goes well with meat, potatoes, and vegetable sticks.
