Chinese Brussels Sprouts
The perfect chinese brussels sprouts recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 500 g Brussels sprouts fresh
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- 0,5 tsp Ginger seasoning
- 0,5 tsp Ground coriander
- 0,5 tsp Crush the Szechuan peppercorns in a mortar
- 1 tbsp Peanut oil
- 3 tbsp Sweet chili sauce
- Red pepper flakes
- Salt
- 0,5 Pc. Cut the onion into 1/2 rings
- 100 ml Vegetable broth
- 1 shot Soy sauce light
- 2 Toes Chopped garlic
Prepare Brussels sprouts:
- Cut off the stem of the nodules, then the outer leaves can be easily removed. Halve the Brussels sprouts.
Preparation:
- Sauté the Brussels sprouts in a pan with oil. Add onion and garlic and stir-fry a little more. Deglaze with broth. Put the ginger, cardamom and pepper in, mix and put the lid on. The tubers take about 12-15 minutes to cook. Mix several times. Add water if necessary.
- Add the sweet chili sauce a few minutes before the end of cooking, as well as only 1 dash of soy sauce. Mix well, serve, cover with paprika flakes and serve. Those who love the spice can take chilli flakes. As an accompaniment to Chinese main dishes, or to be enjoyed solo.
- PS: Only 1 shot of soy sauce, otherwise it will destroy the beautiful yellowish color. If you want, you can also add Asian fish sauce.
