Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g Chinese cabbage
  • 250 g fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • Salt
  • Pepper, freshly ground
  • 150 g crème fraîche
  • 150 g yogurt
  • 2 eggs
  • nutmeg, curry powder

  • 100 g cheese (Gouda), grated

vegetarian gratin with Chinese cabbage and mushrooms

Quarter the Chinese cabbage, wash it, and cook it in boiling salted water for 6 minutes. Drain and place it in a greased casserole dish. Add the mushrooms and season with salt and pepper. In a bowl, combine the crème fraîche, yogurt, and eggs, and season with salt and pepper. Stir in the nutmeg and curry powder to taste. Pour the sauce over the cabbage and then sprinkle with the cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 30 minutes. Serve with either salad or baked potatoes.
