Chinese cucumber salad with garlic

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 cucumber(s)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • some pepper
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp vinegar (white wine or herb vinegar, not apple cider vinegar)
  • 2 clove(s) garlic, squeezed
  • ½ tsp chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp oil (sesame oil)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Wash the cucumber, quarter it, and remove the seeds. Cut the cucumber into small cubes (about 1.5 cm thick). Briefly knead with salt and let it sit for 15 minutes. Then mix with the remaining ingredients and let it sit for another 15-20 minutes. The salad can be stored in the refrigerator for a few days.
