Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g chicken breasts
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • ½ tsp Chinese spice mix
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 red bell peppers
  • 1 stalk(s) leek
  • 300 g Chinese cabbage
  • 2 tbsp oil (sunflower oil)
  • 100 g soybean sprouts
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp dry sherry
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp Chinese spice mix

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 45 minutes

Cut the meat into thin strips. Mix soy sauce with sugar, egg, Chinese spices, and cornstarch. Marinate the meat for 1 to 2 hours. Dice the bell peppers, slice the leeks, and strip the cabbage. Heat a little oil in a wok, stir-fry the bell peppers, cabbage, and soybean sprouts for 1 to 2 minutes, then remove and keep warm. Make a sauce from the listed ingredients. Heat the oil again and fry the meat with the marinade. Add the leeks and fry. Add the vegetables and sauce, heat gently, and reduce the sauce slightly. Side dish: rice.
