Ingredients for 5 servings:
- 3 bananas, very ripe
- 150 g brown sugar
- 170 g applesauce
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 100 g flour
- 60 g baking cocoa
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 40 g oat flakes
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes
First, preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and grease a baking dish. Mash the bananas in a bowl. Add the sugar, eggs, applesauce, and vanilla extract; mix well. Sift the remaining ingredients and add them. Mix until everything forms a batter. (Be careful not to overmix.) Finally, fold in the oats. Pour the batter into the baking dish and bake in the oven for about 50 minutes. If you like, you can sprinkle the cake with chocolate or oats beforehand. Do the skewer test after 50 minutes. The wooden skewer should come out mostly dry when inserted into the cake. Let it cool for 10 minutes and then enjoy warm.
