Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 150 g chocolate
- 150 g sugar
- 3 eggs
- 100 g butter
- 100 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 50 g chocolate shavings
- possibly cocoa powder
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
chocolatey and juicy
Carefully melt the butter and chocolate in a saucepan over the lowest heat, stirring constantly, then remove from the heat. Allow to cool briefly. (You can use whole milk or dark chocolate here.) In a bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder and chocolate shavings (whole milk or dark, but white chocolate is also fine). If you like, you can add cocoa powder for even more chocolateiness. In a second bowl, beat the eggs and sugar for a good 5 minutes until they are nice and creamy. Now carefully add the slightly cooled cocoa-butter mixture and continue beating briefly on the lowest heat. Finally, carefully fold in the flour mixture. (Stir only until the flour is well combined, do not beat). Grease a baking dish well and pour the mixture into it. (Any baking dish can be used here.) Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake at 180°C (top/bottom heat) or 165°C (fan oven) for approximately 30-35 minutes. (The cake may or may not be slightly runny inside, depending on the dish used. This is how it should be. The cake will only set properly after cooling.) Remove the dish from the oven after the baking time is over and allow to cool. If desired, the chocolate cake can be decorated with icing.
