Chocolate Cake: These Ingredients Make it Moist

Spread the love

The perfect chocolate cake is nice and moist, sometimes creamy. You can find out which ingredients you can use to do this in this article on the subject of cake baking.

With these ingredients, the chocolate cake will be juicy

If you add one of the following ingredients to the dough for chocolate cake, the cake will be nice and moist.

  • Sour cream: If you add a good portion of sour cream to the dough, the cake will be particularly juicy.
The creamy sour cream does not affect the taste of the chocolate cake. Sour cream has a very slightly sour taste. In combination with chocolate, however, this is not noticeable.
  • Oil: Add a tablespoon of oil to the batter to soften it and make the cake moister. Use a tasteless oil such as rapeseed oil.
  • Apple & Pear: The chocolate cake will also be moist if you grate half an apple or a pear and add it to the dough.
  • Sweet apple varieties are more suitable than sour ones. The apple flavor may come through slightly. However, apple and chocolate harmonize perfectly. Alternatively, you can also bake a chocolate cake with sunken pears, for example.
  • Banana: You can also stir in a third to half a banana – depending on the size of the banana. However, you should eat the cake sooner and not leave it for too long. Banana and chocolate also harmonize perfectly.
  • If you don’t have any of the ingredients mentioned, simply add a little less flour to the dough than specified in the recipe. This also makes the chocolate cake juicier.
