Chocolate cake with pears: A delicious recipe

For the chocolate cake with pears, you need the following ingredients: 500 to 600 grams of ripe, juicy pears, 100 grams of dark chocolate, 150 grams of butter, three eggs, 100 grams of sugar, a packet of vanilla sugar, 15 grams of unsweetened cocoa powder, 240 grams of flour, 80 milliliters of cream, half a pack of baking powder, 70 milliliters of eggnog, apricot jam or apricot jam, some lemon juice, and maple syrup.

  1. First of all, preheat your oven to 160 degrees.
  2. Then peel the pears, remove the core, and quarter the fruit. Cut the fruit into thick slices and marinate them with a little lemon juice and maple syrup. This keeps the pears fresh and sweet. Leave the pears in the fridge for about half an hour.
  3. Roughly chop the chocolate and melt it in a water bath. Meanwhile, mix together the butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar. Gradually add the eggs. Then add the chocolate. Then beat the mixture together until it is very creamy.
  4. In another bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder. Then add this dry mixture to the chocolate cream. Here, alternate between the dry mix, the heavy cream, and the eggnog. This will mix the cake batter well.
  5. Then pour the well-mixed batter into a springform pan. Line them with parchment paper or grease them with butter and flour. Place the pear slices on the dough at regular intervals. Bake the cake for about 50 minutes.

With these tips, the chocolate cake with pear succeeds particularly well

After the first 15 minutes, do the knife test. Using a clean knife, pierce the cake batter straight down from above. After 15 minutes the top layer should be dry, the dough should still be runny on the inside.

  • Repeat the knife test at shorter and shorter intervals. In this way, you can be sure that the cake batter does not come out of the oven runny, but also that it does not become too dry.
  • When the cake is ready, spread it with either apricot jam or apricot jam. You can also heat both in a saucepan or in the microwave beforehand.
  • You can also put a chocolate glaze over the cake. To do this, heat block chocolate or the icing either in a water bath or in the microwave. Be careful not to burn the chocolate.
  • The cake tastes particularly great when served with whipped cream. For the special aroma of the cream, you can mix it with vanilla and cinnamon.
