Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g chocolate, 85% cocoa
  • 250 g nuts (pecan)
  • 300 g butter, soft
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 250 g cane sugar
  • Salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 350 g flour

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Roughly chop the nuts and chocolate. Melt half of the chocolate in a double boiler. Combine the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, and a pinch of salt, then beat in the eggs one at a time. Briefly stir in the flour, baking soda, and cocoa powder, then stir in the melted chocolate. Fold in the remaining chopped chocolate and the nuts. Place six balls of dough onto the baking sheet, leaving space between each ball, and flatten slightly. Bake in a preheated oven at 150°C (300°F) for about 15 minutes. Makes about 24 cookies.
