Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 140 g butter, soft
  • 50 g powdered sugar
  • 120 g flour
  • 20 g cocoa powder
  • ½ tbsp coffee powder (espresso)
  • 20 g chocolate, grated, dark
  • 150 g jam (orange jam)
  • 200 g semi-sweet chocolate coating

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

For the dough: Mix butter and powdered sugar. Combine flour, cocoa, espresso, and grated chocolate and knead into the butter mixture. With wet hands, form hazelnut-sized balls. Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and flatten the balls with a floured fork. Bake the cookies in a preheated oven at 175°C, fan oven 150°C, gas mark 2 for about eight to ten minutes. Let the cookies cool on a wire rack. Caution: The cookies will be very crumbly in this state! For the icing: Heat the orange marmalade and puree with a hand blender. Spread the marmalade over the cooled cookies and let it dry thoroughly. Meanwhile, chop the chocolate coating and melt it in a warm water bath. Spread the chocolate coating over the jam-side of the cookies and let it dry thoroughly.
