delicious Canarian housewife dessert

First, melt the chocolate, preferably in a bain-marie. Once it’s liquid, cool it in a bain-marie with cold water. Stir frequently to prevent it from solidifying. Next, combine the cream with the condensed milk and chocolate. Add as much desiccated coconut as you like (I use quite a lot). Briefly dip the butter cookies in the coffee and layer them, either in individual dessert bowls or in a large dessert dish: first a layer of softened butter cookies, then cream, then more butter cookies, and so on, until you finish with the cream. Sprinkle some desiccated coconut on top for decoration.
