Chocolate Mousse with Bacon

The perfect chocolate mousse with bacon recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 Pc. Eggs
  • 200 g Dark chocolate couverture
  • 50 g Whole milk couverture
  • 2 tbsp Brandy
  • 400 g Cream
  • 75 g Sugar
  • 250 g Bacon
  1. Finely chop the dark and whole milk couverture and melt over a hot water bath. Beat the egg yolks with the sugar in a bowl over a double boiler. Take the beating kettle off the water bath so that the mass is not overheated. Mix in the couverture well. Stir the mixture until smooth and homogeneous. Stir in the cognac. Whip the cream only half stiff. Fold the cream into the egg and chocolate mixture. Chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
  2. Bake the bacon in the oven at 180 degrees until crispy.
  3. Cut off the mousse from the mousse and arrange on the plate, garnish with bacon.
