Spread the love

Ingredients for 30 servings:

  • 125 g butter
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 vanilla sugar
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 60 g cornstarch
  • 200 g flour
  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • Orange(s) – peel, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 day 6 hours; Total time approx. 1 day 6 hours 30 minutes

Chop the chocolate with a knife. Mix the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, sugar, and vanilla sugar in a bowl. Make a well in the center. Add the egg and grated orange zest to the well. Add small pieces of butter to the edge. Spread the chocolate on top and knead everything together, starting in the center, using a dough hook. Briefly knead with your hands until you have a smooth dough and refrigerate for about 30 minutes. Take the cold dough and shape it into small crescents (like vanilla crescents). Bake on a baking sheet lined with baking paper in the preheated oven at 175°C for 15-17 minutes. Let the crescents cool and dust with powdered sugar.
